The start of this website

01 February, 2009 Posted by: chocoholic
The first time I had a ROYCE chocolate was when I went to Hokkaido for the snow festival in Sapporo. At Sapporo Chitose airport they were giving out taste samples of ROYCE chocolate and believe me, it was love at first taste. I just wanted to share with you the wonders of ROYCE chocolate and hope that if you ever get to Japan, that you will be able too.

Hello Sergio!

They do sell ROYCE Chocolates through the web with delivery only in Japan at the present. URL: e-royce.com
I don't think they sell them in Europe at all. I know they have shops in Singapore, Hong Kong, Thailand and Malaysia.

Actually, my relatives and friends are asking me to buy ROYCE chocolates for them to send to the United States so I am trying to figure out something right now and if you like, I will contact you as soon as I find out. Also, I also think it would depend of the type of ROYCE chocolate you are looking for. I think, the potato chip chocolates should ship fine.

Is it fine to buy royce chocolates to HK and then bring it along in US juz like ordinary chocs we buy...I mean, will it affect the quality while on transit? coz ive read some testi, that it's highly perishable that's why it's not really recommended in transit... if you buy they say, you eat at once...?

Hi Rose! If you buy the chocolate potato chips, it seems fine because it doesn't need to be refridgerated. I also brought in the NAMA chocolate that was blended with liquor and it seemed to be okay. All my relatives ate it. But they DO tell us to keep the NAMA chocolate refridgerated. One thing for sure, it loses the chocolate powder dusting on top as the chocolate sweats.

Is there anywhere in the U.S. to buy these chocolates? Or can they be bought online?

I don't know if you can buy them in the U.S. yet. You can purchase them online but for delivery only within Japan. If you are to purchase them, I would suggest that you should wait until the weather gets a bit cooler or the chocolates may be ruined before you receive them.

I think you could start a very good business selling Royce chocolates in the USA. I know I would be first in line to buy some!! :)

Hello Lisa!

I will definitely think about it. But even if I do start to sell them, then we should wait until it cools down so that the chocolate doesn't melt!

Hello Lisa!

Can you tell me what you would like to purchase so that I can see if it is feasible or not?

I would buy the Mild Cacao or Champagne. Whatever it is that comes in the little plastic tin, in blocks. I've heard that is excellent. Let me know if you ever hear of these chocolates getting sold in the US.

Hi. I also would like to know where to order these chocolates in US. Please email me at arcangel.2000@yahoo.com
I'm also thinking about franchising this business. Would anyone has any inputs on this matter?

You can only get Royce in Japan and some other Asian countries... I was thinking about to do online selling in the U.S but chocolate cannot be fresh because it takes at least 15 days to put on the line after I purchase the chocolate and ask my family to send them here...

Am savoring my last few slabs of chocolatey goodness that I got from Narita as i type this. I found a website that sells this in the US (http://www.royceusa.com/pro...) though it is about 4 times more than what I paid for. I bought the travel pouches and dry ice that they sell with the chocolates and it travelled pristinely from Narita to SF.

Wow. I had the chocolate potato chips from http://www.royceusa.com and found them amazing. They taste really strange but good - I still like the nama variety the best though.

Hi! I just got back to your site today. Anyway, I would like to have some of the Nama mild cocoa and the chocolate potato chips. Do you think it's feasible? hehe :)

Is this website legit http://www.royceusa.com/ ?

They started selling Royce in the Philippines at Rockwell, a year ago. That RoyceUSA site has broken links, not working so well, I'd expect Royce to have a better site honestly. If you fly with the chilled Nama chocolates - they will pack them in a silver insulated bag for you with some cold pouches to help keep them cold most of the way back to the US, depending on where you're going. Morinaga managed to produce similar squares of chocolate with the powdery texture minus the "chill" - they are called "Melt" if I remember right - they are quite good if you can't get to Japan, etc. anytime soon.
